SuCo Supervised Contact Services was established in 2015 in response to a clear gap in accessible, child-focused supervised contact services for families navigating Family Law proceedings. At the time, many families were experiencing lengthy waiting lists, high costs, and restrictive service models that limited opportunities for children to maintain meaningful relationships with significant people in their lives.
Paulette Sewell, Director of SuCo Supervised Contact Services, leads the organisation with a clear and unwavering purpose: to deliver a supervised contact service that places children’s wellbeing at the centre of every decision, while reducing unnecessary barriers for families navigating complex circumstances.
With extensive experience in the child welfare and supervised contact sector, Paulette brings strong leadership, professional integrity, and a deep understanding of the challenges families face during Family Law and child protection processes. Her vision from inception has been to create a service model that is responsive, accessible, and grounded in best practice.
Paulette remains committed to strengthening service delivery standards while ensuring that children and young people remain at the heart of SuCo’s mission.
At the heart of SuCo is a strong child-centred philosophy. Every decision, recommendation, and interaction is guided by a focus on safety, emotional wellbeing, and positive developmental outcomes for children.
We work within a trauma-informed framework, recognising the complex experiences many children and families face. While always maintaining impartiality, our staff are skilled in providing appropriate structure, guidance, and direction when required. We strive to create a secure, respectful, and supportive environment where children can feel safe and families can engage constructively.
Since our establishment, SuCo has expanded its services and works closely with the Department of Communities and Justice (formerly FaCS) and a range of non-government organisations across New South Wales. In addition to supervised contact, we provide a range of tailored support services for children and young people, including:
